Why I did this...

They say it can't be done. You can't possibly get all your food at Aldi. I do stray occasionally. Aldi doesn't have all the spices, herbs and produce as other grocery stores. If you have picky cats, you'll be getting your cat food (ie Fancy Feast, or kitty crack as it's known in this house) elsewhere. For the most part, though. I can do it all at Aldi and for less than $100 a week....usually much less, but it depends on what I have on hand. This blog is just for the few people who want to see How two people can eat (very well in fact) off of $400 a month. There are many that can do it on less and we certainly can, but I don't want to survive on ramen and pb&j.

A little about us: I am a 40 year old, stay-at-home wife and mother to two cats (no human kids). We have a few go-to recipes that I will use over and over again, but we love trying new things and I am addicted to Pinterest. I will try to put links back to recipes (if I have them) and tell you how much everything costs. if you have any questions or suggestions, Please let me know
